Negero & Kwadijava Licenses

The Negero and Kwadijava Licenses comprises two reconnaissance licenses covering an area of 200km2. Situated in the Handeni district, some 210km northwest of Dar Es Salaam, the project area is accessible via good tar and gravel roads. The local geology and the known gold occurrences exposed by local, artisanal diggers suggest that the mineralization is controlled by regional structures, typically shear zones.

The exploration of the Negero and Kwadijava project is at an early stage. Local geology and known gold occurrences exposed by artisanal diggers suggest that the mineralization is controlled by regional structures, typically shear zones – the mineralization trend is likely to be 10km long. Verification samples collected by Aurigin suggest intersections of: 4m at 7.7g/t; 2m at 9.47g/t and 2.5m at 8.85 g/t.

Overview of work program completed

  • High-resolution (50m line spacing) airborne magnetic and radiometric survey over both Negero and Kwadijava PLs
  • Regional geochemical soil sampling (400m x 200m) covering both licenses
  • Follow-up geochemical soil sampling (200m x 100m and 100m x 50m)
  • 9 clearly defined, high interest gold drilling targets on Negero
  • Two main targets with total strike length of 4.5km drill tested down to 150m (10,700m of RC and 3,500m of DD) on Negero
  • 12km long geochemical target showing excellent correlation with airborne geophysics and with NE-SW trending structures identified on Kwadijava
  • All data generated to date has been integrated and interpreted through a peer review process and external consultants
  • N.I.43-101 Technical Reports completed on both properties

Planned future work program

  • Close-spacing follow-up geochemical sampling (100mx25m) over 7 targets on Negero PL and over the 12km long anomaly on Kwadijava PL
